Transportation to venue

Wels is a travel hub in Austria and so easy to connect you from your city of origin to the event in Wels. 

We would like to assist you as much as we can with your journey to our event. Please see below information on various ways to get to the venue and please get in touch with us if you need further assistance. 

We also recommend you chat with other dancers from your area attending the event for group travel and car sharing. 



From Linz airport you can take a taxi to the venue within 30minutes.

Alternatively, there are public transport options: Take the 601 bus (4-minute ride/ 2 stops) to Horsching Bahnst. Take S2 train to Wels Hbf (12-minute ride / 3 stops) and walk 10minutes to event hotel. 



We highly recommend Linz airport (LNZ) as the preferred airport for you to use. You may also find flights into Munich or Vienna but will end up spending much more time, distance and transportation costs getting to our event.



Linz Airport (LNZ): Linz is 30 minutes (15 KM) from the venue. This is the closest airport to the event.

Direct flights from Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Leipzig & Timisoara

Munich Airport (MUC): MUC is around 3 hours (150 KM) minimum from the venue.

Vienna Airport (VIE): VIE is 2 Hour and 30 Minutes (190 KM) minimum from the venue.

Ground Transportation


From Vienna - There is a direct train to Wels from Vienna Westbahnhof/ Hauptbahnhof/

Meidling that takes around 1.5 hours and costs around €36.

From Vienna airport there are trains to Wels that take between 2-2.5hours.
